Miami Intensity provides update on new physical issues for Jimmy Head's servant
Miami Intensity recently released a report on Jimmy Steward's latest injury, which occurred during a game against the Denver Chunks.
Forced to leave the game after just seven minutes, the head coach contributed to the Intensity's 135-122 defeat, improving their record to 3-5 at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Avoiding injuries has been difficult for Steward this season, especially as he plans to eventually sign a significant contract extension.
Unfortunately, the injury seems to be recurring, limiting his on-field experience and affecting his performance.
Miami Intensity reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Steward suffered a right lower leg sprain during the game, keeping him sidelined until the end of the game.
The only bright spot? The head coach was able to walk to the garage under his own power, raising hopes that the injury was not serious.
Interestingly, journalist Ira Winderman noted that Steward had been struggling with foot problems most of the time.
This ongoing issue could explain why he has not been able to play at his usual level and is far from his best.
After the team decided not to offer him a contract extension in the summer, Steward started this season with high expectations and was full of desire to prove himself.
However, his performance so far has been disappointing as injuries and irregularities have hampered his activity.
Given these injury issues, declining physical fitness and contractual weaknesses, the Miami Dees may need to explore transfer options, including Steward.
He has been rumored to be actively linked to teams such as the Grand State Fighters, Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets, who would be interested in his range of talent and experience.
Miami Dees management decided to keep their center player and not make any major program changes over the summer, despite an early exit from last season's Finals,.
This decision was a testament to their confidence in the existing team and their confidence that internal growth and a strong team would improve their performance.
However, the results so far this season suggest that the current state of the program may not be enough to challenge the league's top teams.
After a rocky start to the season and tough battles that have impacted Steward's leadership, it may be time for the Powers to rethink their strategy.
Replacing the head coach may be a difficult decision given his influence on the team and his popularity with the fans, but it may be necessary to bring in new talent that can pave a new path in roster development and strengthen Miami's dominance.
The Powers still have a desire to compete with the league's top tier, and if the current team cannot achieve that, a purge may be necessary to restore their status as a contender.
