The Otis Spec60 Elevators at Costa Linda Beach Resort are BEING REPLACED! (Oranjestad, Aruba)

Man, you would not believe how unhappy I was to see this...

These elevators were my childhood and were the main reason I got into elevators, and now they are getting replaced. Unfortunately for the first time in forever, these are starting to act weird, glitchy, and run rough. I never understood why they needed to mod this though, since it was perfect every other year. Eventually, the others in the lobby and the service elevator will likely be next once this set is done.

As for what they are being modded with, well actually, it's a 100% FULL REPLACEMENT. They chose the Gen2 Life Model. While one of my favorite makes of the European Gen2's, it will feel really out of place here considering the architecture is still stuck in 1992, unless they plan to fully redo the resort itself eventually.

Anyways, I got to experience it unintendedly one day exclusively, and why I say that is that an hour later, the techs came and began to continue working on the elevator, likely meaning this elevator wasn't quite ready yet (as explained by the MRL Cabinet being opened). Despite that and the elevator still getting used to being in service, it ran pretty well! It makes me a little less mad knowing at least they are getting replaced with one of the better modern European Elevators, but still that doesn't make me too happy seeing Super Rare Asian elevators being replaced, with currently no knowledge of other Spec60's on the island. Oh well, at least I got to ride them one last time before they get fully replaced on the year this is being uploaded.

As of today, both of the elevators on this set are no more. Rest in Peace, Otis Spec60's, you will be missed. Thank you for your contributions to my childhood and elevator hobby. :-(
