Shock! Gasp! Betrayal! Eoren turns out to not be a lovable rogue suffering from the loss of his wife. He turns out to be a very bad dude. He extracts Hinna's corestone, leaving her to die in Val's arms. That's one more Alm lost. Poor Val and Hinna. They never got the change to kiss and make lots of babies.

Val spends the rest of the episode depressed while everyone else is angry at him. However, by the end of all the cutscenes, he finally finds the will to continue as the Soul Guard of the pilgrimage.

Visions of Mana is the latest game in the Seiken Densetsu, or Mana franchise. Famous for such games like Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, and Seiken Densetsu 3 (Trials of Mana). This is also the first mainline game in the franchise since Dawn of Mana in 2006. Like much of the Mana series, this is an Action RPG, and it uses the series famous Ring Menu.
