LAW MATTERS EPISODE 9

In Episode 9, the attorneys discuss a Supreme Court case regarding the First Amendment’s Free Exercise of Religion Clause, along with the fundamental rights of parents to rear children in accordance with their values, traditions, religious beliefs, and cultures. The attorneys address a lawsuit brought by a group of parents challenging a Montgomery County, Maryland School Board’s introduction of 22 LGBTQ+-inclusive textbooks into the pre-K through 5th-grade public school curriculum, along with its policy to no longer permit students or their parents to “opt-out” from these classroom lectures and materials, as had previously been permitted.
