Ep. 10 The Turning Point: Loss And Gain

Handing over the baby to the state is a painful moment for Kelly. The Vatican, however, offers her freedom—but at a cost. Father McCaffrey confronts her, urging her to make peace with the truth and what has happened. Kelly is torn, worried about Josh paying the price for everything. McCaffrey reassures her, saying, “God provides.”

Later, Kelly meets with a Vatican representative, Ms. Toscano, and wrestles with the decision. She wonders if she’s just trading one prison for another, as the Vatican requires her to make public appearances as part of her role as a “sacred mother.” Tosano reassures her, promising better conditions and a chance to be reunited with her daughter. But the title comes with responsibility—being a sacred mother is not without its obligations.
