What did she do?

My mother helped me raise me daughter and my grandson. They live less then a mile from each other. She has received two visits from him since April when my daughter cut myself and my wife(What did she do?) from my Grandson's life. One on her Birthday, one about a week later. The only two women that were in his life and raised him till he was almost seven, have not been able to visit him. What could have possibly happened to cause this reaction? That story is coming. Just need to finish recording it in full and removing all the unnecessary rambling from myself. It's been long enough.
