Ep. 12 They Are Using Blackface for Evil with Curtis Scoon
Ashira sits down with Curtis Scoon, a film producer, writer, and editor-in-chief of the ScoonTV network. Curtis rose to media prominence after being famously accused in the murder of Jam Master Jay, an event that propelled him to share his side of the story. He also served as co-producer for the hit BET series American Gangster.
In this episode, Ashira and Curtis delve into the darker side of Hollywood and its promotion of a degenerate culture. They explore how the media weaponizes Black identity, or "blackface," for harmful agendas. The conversation also touches on Black and Jewish relations in Brooklyn, particularly in Crown Heights, highlighting how many of the issues stem from factors beyond race.
