Deer check stations

Firearms deer season opens today across the State. The Michigan DNR reminds hunters to get their harvests checked for bovine tuberculosis and chronic wasting disease. There are dozens of counties checking for the illnesses and the DNR has check stations, drop boxes, taxidermists and processors ready to collect samples.
