Infant Respect

Recently read a quote by Magda Gerber, "Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better." That great quote really struck a chord with me and I looked further into Magda Gerber. She puts forth much wisdom on how children should be treated and cared for as infants and beyond, really making a lot of sense to me. She really talks a lot about respecting children. I share many of her ideas in this segment of Carrying Lawn Chairs.
