Of all the things trying to kill off the American dream and the idea that we might be free, the biggest is almost certainly the U.S. government. If things go bad I wouldn’t be surprised if many of us went out like it was Ruby Ridge or Waco. It’s a common idea that one might die in a shootout with the Feds, that’s why jokes get made about it, both the edge of being someone the Feds would go after and the idea of shooting back.
