Barrkmalam Jim Jim Waterfall Song

Original song. For those of you who don't know, Barrkmalam is the local aboriginal name for Jim Jim Falls. I did the 2 kilometre hike to the base of Jim Jim Falls through monsoonal forests. It is one of the most, if not the most incredible awe inspiring places I have ever been. The 200 metre sheers cliffs and the big plunge pool at the base, the valley that leads to the falls comes to an abrupt stop at the falls. Sitting there by myself there was no other people there it was eerie. I felt a definate presence there. In my mind I could visualise ancient aboriginal children and adults at the plunge pool relaxing and cooling off. It was amazing. Gary Crockett Copyright©
