Congressman Matt Gaetz travels to El Salvador to see how the country got rid of one of the worst gang infestations on earth, and did it in just 6 months.
MS13 was created in the United States. El Salvador migrants created the gang to protect themselves from American gangs who robbed and extorted them. But like all gangs, it quickly got out of control and the victims became the victimizers. After serving their prison sentences, the US deported many of them for crimes, where they brought the MS13 gang back home, and it spread like a virus.

President Bukele was threated by the IMF to not crack down on the gang, or they would withhold loans. He responded by adopting Bitcoin as "Legal Tender". As the price rapidly rose, El Salvador had the funding they needed to launch a full-scale assault on MS13. Much to the disdain of the IMF and the American Left, the most dangerous and poor country in Latin America became the safest and one of the richest.
