PARATY, RIO DE JANEIRO!

In this video, we visit the colonial city of Paraty in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Paraty has had a lot of significance for Brazil throughout of its history. During the gold rush, it was used as part of a route to take the gold from Minas Gerais to be sent to Europe. However, after a while the Portuguese came up with another route and this would negatively impact Paraty. After, the trade of coffee, sugar and Cachaça help the city economically and during recent decades tourism has been one of the main economic contributors of this city. We really enjoyed visiting Paraty even though it was a very short visit and we hope you enjoy the video :)
