Forgive Satan?

Forgive Satan? That's a bold stance, one that even Scripture directly contradicts. Forgiveness is rooted in repentance, and Satan has none. He is the epitome of rebellion, the one who sought to usurp God's authority and continues to deceive humanity without remorse. Forgiving someone who remains actively evil isn't just unbiblical; it's a gross misunderstanding of justice and holiness.

The Bible is clear about Satan's fate: eternal separation from God. Revelation 20:10 says, 'And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone... and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.' There’s no repentance, no redemption, and no forgiveness for the unrepentant adversary of God.

By advocating forgiveness for Satan, you dilute the very concept of justice. Forgiveness without repentance isn't forgiveness—it's enabling. Forgiveness is not cheap; it cost Christ His life on the cross. Extending it to someone who outright rejects and opposes God’s grace makes a mockery of that sacrifice.

Instead of misplacing your Universalist notions on the one who embodies evil, why not direct your energy toward forgiving those around you who seek reconciliation? Satan’s doom is sealed, but humanity still has a chance. Maybe focus on living out forgiveness where it truly matters.
