Construction scale model

Had my head down these last couple of months to focus on my heavy semester at school but had the chance to make a scale model of a concrete construction detail. This particular model is a demonstration of a waffle slab 🧇

A waffle slab is a type of concrete floor or ceiling structure that has a grid like pattern of ribs, like seen in my 3D model.
It’s made by pouring concrete into a mold that has a series of grooves or voids which is demonstrated by the yellow blocks printed in the video.
This waffle slab design is beneficial (and aesthetic) because it helps to distribute weight evenly making the slab strong and efficient, while using less material 💪
