Hiam Saban's "Phantoms" TV pilot was renamed and greenlit for Fox Kids over 30 years ago, and today (11/18/24) begins the end of the Power Rangers franchise as seen on screen. The entire collection of screen used assets is for sale through Heritage Auctions. This auction emcompasses the entirety of the franchise from 1993's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers surviving assets to 2023's assets for Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury; ALL of the franchise is for sale. This means that going forward any reboot of the Power Rangers franchise will require the creation of new assets, and this is too much for a brand that is making less than $50MILLION USD in gross profits.
