Langdon Tactical PX4 Full Size G-SD & PX4 Compact Carry 2 | New for 2024
Ernest Langdon, representing Langdon Tactical, discusses the recently launched Langdon Tactical PX4 G-SD with GunBroker.com. The letter G denotes the presence of a decocker mechanism, which allows the firearm to swiftly return to the firing position, while SD stands for super duty.
A notable feature of this particular model is the inclusion of a more substantial barrel. This barrel substantially lessens the perceived recoil and upward movement of the pistol upon firing. It is truly remarkable how effortlessly this firearm shoots, despite its considerable weight.
The PX4 Carry Full Size G-SD is the larger variant, while the PX4 Compact Carry 2 is the smaller variant. The full-size G-SD offers several distinct features compared to the previous standard PX4 models. The carry lever, which serves as a de-cocking lever, is designed to be the perfect size – not too big, not too small. It allows you to easily decock the gun with your thumb and is particularly suited for concealed carry due to its narrow profile.
This specific Beretta PX4 Full-Size G-SD has been enhanced by Langdon Tactical, so there are a few notable features to discuss. It includes an enlarged magazine button, as well as three magazines: two 17-round magazines and one 20-round magazine. Additionally, it is equipped with a distinctive sight configuration, featuring an orange dot front sight and a plain black rear sight, ensuring a clear and accurate sight picture. Furthermore, it boasts a D-model hammer spring, which effectively decreases the force required for the double action trigger pull. All of these elements combine to create an exceptional concealed carry or competition handgun option.
The Langdon Tactical PX4 GSD is equipped with numerous upgrades and features: it incorporates a Springer precision magwell and a low RDO site for attaching accessories. Additionally, it prides itself on a trigger modification with a Gray Guns flat trigger.
This year, Langdon Tactical has introduced another product, the vantage point rail-mounted compensator, suitable for both full and compact sizes. It directly attaches to the rail and includes a flashlight. This makes it compatible with a holster that links to an X300, without adding any extra weight or size to the firearm. The compensator functions remarkably well. The advantage of a rail-mounted compensator is that it doesn’t affect the firearm’s reliability, eliminating the need for a different spring in the gun and not altering the point of impact. This provides you with the perks of a compensator without any of its disadvantages.
Langdon Tactical PX4 Compact Carry 2
The compact version of the compensator has all of those same features as the full size PX4 GSD, but the compact uses the Streamlight TLR 7 Sub. And with a JM Custom kydex that is designed for the DLR 7 sub long the Langdon Tactical PX4 Compact Carry 2 fits right into that holster.
