### Iniquity, Forgiveness, and Generational Consequences

In this continuation of a Bible study, the speaker delves into the biblical distinction between forgiveness and pardon, clarifying that while sin is forgiven, iniquity requires pardon. The message argues that forgiveness is akin to "got you covered," while pardon necessitates the complete removal of something deeply rooted, like a spiritual cancer. The discussion highlights that iniquity, often connected to idolatry and meditating on perversion, is a generational issue passed down through families. The speaker connects this to the story of Baal of Peor and the Ten Commandments, emphasizing that setting up idols in our hearts through media and imagination estranges us from God.

---

- There is a biblical difference between forgiveness and pardon.
- Sin is forgiven through the blood of Christ.
- Iniquity must be "pardoned," which means it has to be completely removed from the heart.
- Iniquity is a deep-seated spiritual issue and is passed down generationally from fathers to the third and fourth generations.
- Idolatry is not just about carving an image but also about setting up "idols in our heart," which is a form of meditation on abominable things.
- The "iniquity of Peor" was related to idolatry and the meditation on perversion.
- Hating God is equated with meditating on iniquity, while loving God is equated with keeping and meditating on His commandments.
- The modern church is often caught up in meditating on things other than God's ways, which is a form of idolatry.

The video concludes by asserting that iniquity is a meditation on perversion, and a lack of forgiveness for it equates to hating God. The ultimate takeaway is that the love of God is not a feeling but is demonstrated by keeping His commandments, and the meditation on His word is the antidote to the meditation on iniquity, which estranges us from God. The speaker challenges listeners to understand that iniquity is an internal issue, an idolatry of the heart, that must be pardoned and removed.

Our belief is that God desires relationship with man, the species. Whether Bible teaching, prayer, our redemption, making disciples—whatever the spiritual activity, relationship with man is and has been Father’s goal. He, as Creator, has the right to tell the created creature, man, how life is to work. His Word is often focused on how to have a relationship with Him, why we lack that relationship, and the reasons for the lack. The most commonly taught reason for loss of relationship with God is sin; but there are two other reasons given for relationship loss—iniquity and transgression. These teachings have been found by many to be vital in their understanding and the seeking of deeper relationship with God.
