Today's discussion is a bit more convoluted (and very important). But I (nonetheless) hope to make myself clear in this message I wish to portray.

An analogy that comes to mind is that of a bowling lane. There's an option to put up the gutter guards, so that (if nothing else) your bowling ball at least doesn't fall in the gutters. Think of it this way:
The gutter on the left is being a bully. The one on the right is being a pushover. Let today's lesson be the gutter guards to keep you from either becoming weak or becoming a villain.
