Dismantling Jiuru Bridge 🇹🇼 (2023-12) {aerial}

Footage gives an impression of the demolition works that are happening at Jiuru Bridge 九如橋, Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
After putting the TRA railway line underground this road bridge has partly become redundant. It spanned Love River and railway line plus several roads for 46 years. The bridge appears to have reached the design life and is going to be demolished starting end of November 2023. The length of the bridge including the approach road is 624 meters. After demolition and reconstruction, a new bridge is planned to only cross the Love River. The length of the new bridge will be about 70 meters. The new bridge is expected to be completed in 2026.
