Kurt Couchman debates the pros and cons of using tariffs to boost the economy

Americans for Prosperity Senior Fellow Kurt Couchman says imposing tariffs might be useful as a negotiation tool, but suggests they shouldn’t be used on a large scale. “There’s been some polling on this and most Americans only support tariffs against China and other countries that are doing unfair trade practices. So, there’s not broad-based support for overall tariffs against all imports,” he notes.
