CRISPR Gene-Editing Reality Check

In the opening scene he is so exited about kids using this gene modification kit for bacteria. He then goes to a farm with a cow that only produces male offspring.

No discussion of the pitfalls though. We all know a modified virus escaped from a controlled lab environment. What if the kid down the street made it by accident? Cows can be lost in the wild. What if that cow or it's offspring were to pass on their modified genes? Ecosystems are fragile, the butterfly effect applies.

Don't be fooled by propaganda like this. It glorifies the possible good without ever mentioning of the possibility of evil, death, and destruction.
