He wills either merciful and forgiving (39:53, 49:5, 24:22) or justice to people (95:8, 7:87, 22:56-7, 45:22). But without a propitiatory sacrifice as Christ, he cannot be both or he therefore denies himself. And justice & mercy are not part of his inherent nature or essence. He puts them on like clothes in a wardrobe. In which case they are either created (purely arbitrary) or eternal (co-eternal entities with Allah and the Quran). (Good works outweigh bad- 23:101-4 indicating atonement was not made for the bad works.) Allah can arbitrarily forgive without a just payment for sins. (Mass murderer hadith - Sahih Bukhari / Volume 4 / Book 56 / Hadith 676) Therefore, he can deny justice which demands equal penalty for crimes. Surah 5:40, 36:51-4 Allah (the Compeller- 59:23) imposes divine determinism which destroys knowledge. (In contrast to Christianity where an eternal God who doesn’t change can only be appeased by an eternal propitiation which he himself provided through the eternal person the Lord Jesus Christ, who indeed came in the flesh for this selfsame thing. In Christianity this is the reason behind eternal torment in hell- because God cannot change.) In Islam apparently, Allah could absolve everyone by an act of pure volition but doesn’t. In Surah 6:148- 150 Muhammad seems to be arguing here that these pagans who claim Allah forbade certain things and would bring witnesses to testify, are obviously wrong as they associate partners with Allah (Ad hominem fallacy). He doesn’t provide a refutation of determinism in the face of criticism from idolaters, instead he seems to confirm it.
