Looking back at chapter 4, because that is what the word therefore is therefore…Paul tells us to put on the new man and put off the old.
And as a new creation with a divine nature, we should naturally want to imitate God our Father.
There is a great video about a family preparing dinner together on the internet.
Out of the corner of the video, one of the kids runs through the frame, screaming and waving his hands.
A few seconds later, his sister stops preparing dinner and follows him, screaming and waving her hands, and the next kid follows her.
The dad does the same thing…. They all run screaming and waving their hands for no other reason than just being crazy.
The caption attached to the video read, “No DNA Test Necessary.”
In other words, you know by how they all acted that the apple did not fall far from the tree.
By watching that video, you could identify them as part of the same family.
How are you identified?
Do others look at you and know you are of the family of God?
