The Apostle Paul at Philippi and Lydia (Acts 16) 50AD

On Paul's 2nd missionary journey, he visited the Macedonian city of Philippi. This city has been uncovered intermittently since 1860. 1/3 of the grounds have been uncovered, and it is indeed a great ancient city. The first person in Europe was baptized here, a woman by the name of Lydia. This is also the site of the earthquake of Paul and Silas. It is a great place to visit if you are in the area.
