In the Kursk Region, the Russian Armed Forces have been holding back the Ukrainian troops’ onslaught in the Sudzha – Bolshoye Soldatskoye direction for the second day. Kiev repeatedly threw infantry and armoured vehicles into the battle, but did not succeed. The Ukrainian side lost at least 35 armored vehicles, including Western-made tanks, as well as more than a few hundred personnel in those attacks. Ukrainian soldiers captured in the Berdin farmstead area said that up to 50 percent of their infantry were prisoners or forcibly mobilized persons. The Russian Armed Forces took advantage of the adversary’s distraction by these politically motivated actions and launched an offensive. They managed to enter Malaya Loknya on the northern flank and advance in Makhnovka, a couple of kilometers from Sudzha. The Russians are also completing the assault on the village of Russkoye Porechnoye. To crown it all, in the Kursk direction, there has been an unprecedented number of combat sorties by Russian aircraft. Bombing raids from the air are going on non-stop. In the Toretsk direction, fighting along the main streets has shifted to the western and northern parts of the city, where the remaining Ukrainian units are holding their defenses. They are deploying many drones to strike Russian assault groups, but the current situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is unenviable. We can expect Toretsk to fall soon. East of Pokrovsk, Russian forces are making their way to the road junction north of Vozdvizhenka while fighting continues in neighboring Elizavetovka and Baranivka. The Russians are trying to cut off the Pokrovsk supply routes from the west. Kurakhove has been completely captured by the Russian army. A “pocket” appears again to the west of the city, which causes panic in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The fighting in this direction continues. Russian troops have already taken over Petropavlovka, and have expanded their zone of control south-west of Zelenivka. The moral and psychological condition of the Ukrainian army has substantially worsened. Case in point: the desertion of 50 Ukrainian servicemen from the Anna Kievskaya brigade while they were training in France. On their return home to Ukraine, another 1,700 men left the brigade unauthorized. Amid this, the Verkhovna Rada announced that the mobilization age in Ukraine would be lowered to 18 years in 2025. While the world is inflamed by conflicts in different regions, the war in Ukraine continues with the Russian offensive on the frontlines while US President Trump officially enters the political battlefield. On the night of December 9th, Russian forces launched another wave of precision strikes throughout Ukraine. They targeted the capital Kiev and its region. Ukrainian military and industrial facilities were struck in the Ternopil and Vinnitsa regions. Explosions thundered in the Western Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Russian drones and heavy bombs also continue pounding the Ukrainian military accumulated in the bordering Eastern regions. In their turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempt drone strikes in Russian border areas. At least 13 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed during the night. The Ukrainian military was probably unofficially prohibited to use NATO missiles for the attack on Russian territory. Soon after Russia showcased its Oreshnik medim-range missile in action, Ukrainian forces suspended strikes with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles on Russian territory. In an attempt to gain at least some media benefits, the humiliated Kiev regime attempts drone strikes on the Kapustin Yar training site, from where the Oreshnik is believed to be launched. For the second night in a row, Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the Astrakhan region, where the training ground is located. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine with support of NATO and particularly the British military conducted attacks with unmanned boats on Crimea. On December 6th, Russian defenses repelled several waves of attacks by Ukrainian boats near Sevastopol and the Crimean Bridge. Russian military sources warned that the Ukrainian military is preparing another attack. In the waters of the Dniester Estuary in the Odessa region, units of a separate battalion of the Ukrainian Navy specialized in unmanned boats were spotted testing their drones. At the same time, a group of Special Operations Forces has arrived in Ochakov to train FPV drone operators of special forces. Ukrainian special forces are supposed to attempt another landing operation on the Black Sea coast, for example on the Kinburn spit, where they already suffered heavy losses in trained assault groups as a result of the previous failed operations. The Russian military was reportedly reinforcing its defense in the area. Despite Zelensky’s attempts to appease Trump, who is coming to power in Washington, Kiev should be preparing for a further deterioration of its position. Zelensky rejected Trump’s peace plan, including renunciation of territories and a moratorium on joining NATO. Moreover, after his unpleasant journey to Paris, Zelensky reportedly ordered another counteroffensive. Few understand the true meaning of Russian intercontinental ballistic missile launch against Yuzhmash Plant in Dnipro or Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine on the morning of November 21, 2024. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Thursday’s attack, which targeted the arms factory in Dnepropetrovsk, was an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM), nicknamed Oreshnik ‘Hazel’ by President Putin. New footage of the launch over Ukraine has emerged online, and it was clearly visible from the sky in the city of Satpayev, Kazakhstan. Witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be a giant meteorite piercing the sky after falling from one of the planets, with the terrifying or amazing footage looking beautiful as it streaked across, passing like a shooting star! The launch of "Oreshnik" Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missile, marked a significant Russian warning to Ukraine and the West. The target was unusual, not just an ordinary building or model, but one of the largest factories in Ukraine and in the history of the Soviet Union, located in the city of Dnipro. The characteristics of the new Oreshnik missile are unmatched in the world, it travels at a speed of Mach 10, or 10 times the speed of sound, moving at a speed of 3 km per second. It is difficult to understand, Oreshnik can hit targets at a distance of up to 5 thousand km, and its explosive power is 150 kt, taking into account 3-6 blocks in the missile with a circular deviation from the target of 50 meters. No air defense system in the world is able to intercept it, or even know its course or even try to do so. Poland has rejected these accusations, insisting the base is purely defensive and does not house nuclear weapons. "It is a base that serves the purpose of defense, not attack," said Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski, according to the New York Post. "Such threats will undoubtedly justify strengthening Poland's and NATO’s air defenses and should also be a consideration for the United States."
