Bluegrass on Black water

Wanted to thank everyone for the great fellowship, we paddled from 401/Wagram to Steven's and than regroup at Victoria's Ice Cream, I treated the gang to ice cream

11/23/24 Lumber River - Wagram to Steven's Intake. Brisk temperature, clear, good water, fast current. Thank you, Crystal, for the shuttle. Also paddling - Omer, Van, Scott, Gene, Laura, Garrett, and Andy. We encountered 1 downfall worth mention but with some cutting by Gene and Garrett, everyone got through fine. Had a nice lunch halfway but no siesta - these paddlers want to get down the river. There were some shortcuts and we made good time to the take out which was, as usual here, cluttered with waste from local users not picking up after themselves. Ugh! But we rallied to the occasion and went out for ice cream at Victoria's Sweets in Wagram. Thanks for the treat, Scott! On the paddle we saw some hunters and heard numerous shot gun blasts - yes it must be deer season. Take care and stay low. Great day on the river.
