GIANTS Software, the developer of Farming Simulator 25, has announced record-breaking success, selling 2 million copies in its first week. The game even humiliated BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard with superior peak player counts and critical acclaim.

According to GIANTS Software, Farming Simulator 25 had the “most successful launch in the history of Farming Simulator” with a peak of over 126,000 concurrent players on launch day and an all-time peak of 135,970 shortly after. The game continues to dominate, with 94,737 active players currently—well above Dragon Age: The Veilguard's lifetime peak of 89,418.

Adding to its triumph, the developers are already rolling out free updates, expansions, and new features to keep players engaged, further cementing the game’s long-term appeal.

Meanwhile, Dragon Age: The Veilguard struggles to keep up. Despite EA CEO Andrew Wilson’s pre-launch hype about the game’s “breakout potential,” the numbers tell a different story. BioWare and EA have yet to reveal official sales figures, but rumors suggest the game barely crossed the 1 million sales mark.

Wilson had promised fans that Veilguard would stand out in a market with “limited competition” and benefit from its “storied IP” and “rich characters.” Yet, the game has fallen far short of expectations, with a current 24-hour peak of just 24,539 concurrent players.

It’s clear that Farming Simulator 25 not only outperformed Dragon Age: The Veilguard but also delivered on its promises, leaving BioWare’s latest title struggling in its wake.
