An electret is a wax or plastic that is polarized to produce a single polarity. North or south.
In some cases, if the material approaches you, it will be one polarity, and if it recedes away from you, it will be another polarity. If you try to bring those polarities together, they will cancel.
The thinner the material of an electret, The more static, electricity, and potential it has. Because the effect is on the surface of the material. So if you have a material just a few atom stick. The effect will be present with just a measly amount of mass.

You can make bandages and clothing with the material to always have static electricity around your skin.
People wear magnetic bracelets and sleep on magnetic pads, hoping to facilitate benefits. But they are ultimately after the negative static electricity. Magnets are a means to move electrons. But people use them inappropriately many times.
