Exceptional Climbers!

They are arboreal animals, meaning they spend much of their time in trees. In the wild, they are often found perched high in trees, especially near water. Their long claws and strong limbs help them grasp branches securely, and their tails aid in balance.

Young iguanas are particularly agile climbers, while adults, though larger and heavier, remain adept. Their climbing ability is essential for finding food, escaping predators, and basking in the sun. In captivity, green iguanas also require climbing structures to mimic their natural environment and stay healthy.
