Orlan-10 drones have been actively used by units of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Unit since the very beginning of the special military operation

and they have proven themselves to be an indispensable means of reconnaissance and fire correction.

During combat duty in the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporozhye region, calculations of multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan-10" of Novorossiysk paratroopers, including in conditions of interference from electronic warfare (EW) of the enemy, fly around the clock far beyond the front line, into the depth of the enemy's defense. Their main task is to scout and search for targets, adjust the fire of various types of weapons, as well as video recording of fire damage to military facilities, manpower and equipment of the enemy.

During the performance of combat missions, the calculations of the Orlan-10 airborne UAVs regularly detect and transmit to control points the positions of Ukrainian formations, strongpoints, firing points, self-propelled artillery installations, armored and automotive equipment, military equipment and ammunition depots.

As soon as the enemy's target is detected, the coordinates are transmitted to the command, and artillery fire is opened on it.

Orlan-10 is equipped with modern optics, thermal imagers and cameras with infrared radiation. Depending on the payload placed on board, it can conduct reconnaissance in any weather day or night, work as a repeater for signalers, as well as calculate and suppress enemy communications equipment as a flying electronic warfare station.

The complex is assembled in a few minutes, it can take off from any place where a launch catapult can be installed.

There are two operators working at the control center. One controls with the help of a satellite, the second looks through the camera, commands and conducts reconnaissance.

During combat duty, the calculation found a cluster of infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, calculated the coordinates and transmitted them to the control point, after which the airborne artillery struck them with a massive fire strike, destroying up to two enemy squads. The calculation of the UAV recorded and confirmed the defeat of the target.
