I first became aware of Sanctuary Church in the late '80s/early '90s by way of Heaven's Metal magazine. Just reading your articles and some of the mail order material was a big help in my early Christian walk. It's good to know you are still out there doing something wonderful. I watch the YouTube videos and always enjoy your demeanor in handling the questions. My question: How successful have you been in maintaining friendships over a longer period of time? Being in ministry, I imagine you have seen some people walk away from their faith. (I ask this because I've seen many people I've been friends with for 20-25 years walk, sometimes run, from what I thought was a lasting faith.) My prayer request I have found it increasingly difficult to talk with Christian friends about my doubts and fears in recent years. I'm always pushed aside and criticized. However, I'm treated well and encouraged by non or post- Christian friends and acquaintances. ( Doubts and fears include health issues and the disappointment of being never married at 50, social anxiety, mental health struggles, etc.). How do I make peace with this? I fully admit that prayer is a difficult subject with me. Oddly, I feel easier asking these things with someone I don't know.
