Squirrel Causes Smoke and Fire

On Monday afternoon, November 25, 2024, an errant squirrel was electrocuted on the power lines on Hawthorne Street in Lynbrook. The situation caused an electric outage, effecting about 8 homes. The mischievous animal also caused a smoke condition in several homes, and a fire in one of them.
