5 Positions of the A Major Pentatonic Scale
The major pentatonic scale is a 5-note scale that has no semitones. The presence of a major third gives it that major scale sound that we are used to in our tonal system. It is one of the most used scales in the world since it is found both in modern music such as jazz, blues, rock, song, etc., as in very old traditional music in Africa. and in Asia. It is thus named Mongol, Kong (China), Bhupali (India), Yo (Japan), etc.
The pentatonic scale is composed of the tonic, the second, the major third, the fifth and the sixth:
1 tone 1 tone 1 ½ tone 1 tone 1 ½ tone
