Dispensational Stewardship - Part 1 of 2 (Understanding Your Divine Mandates)

In this two part general overview on "Dispensational Stewardship" we discuss Bible theology and how we should view and study the scriptures as contrasted by Dispensational and Covenant theologies. We believe the biblical view is realized when we look at the scriptures as a servant learning and serving in their God given role in life or as called here their "Dispensational Stewardship". Unlike the former two theologies which impose a man made structure and divisions onto the scriptures in attempts to understand the Bible, "Dispensational Stewardship" seeks to use the bible's own structure and unity to frame our biblical world view and understand our place within it.

“Dispensational Stewardship” takes the position that we are servants of God tasked with divine mandates. We believe these Divine mandates as framed in God’s commissions and stewardships to us and are to determine the scope and nature of our actions as we humbly serve God and relate to others and the natural and spiritual worlds around us. These mandates are innately and naturally discerned and divinely revealed. Innately as determined from within ourselves in the way God has programmed us to function, naturally as we learn to relate to the world about us in which God has placed us, and Divinely revealed by God. Either directly by Divine personal revelation and guidance or indirectly by the witness of written Scripture. As we discern what God has dispensed to us and as we study scripture, we learn our role and place in God’s Divine plan and household and how to be faithful stewards.

We believe this Stewardship should determine how we naturally and with Divine guidance study the scriptures to practically learn how to be, to the best of our ability, profitable servants of God’s creation. To this end, we take note of the following words as used in scripture, as to the organization in which God frames the Scripture so that we can learn how to use them properly as we serve Him. Dispensations, Stewardships, Testaments, Covenants, Promises, Will of God, Law, Discernment, Wisdom. In this two part lesson we give an overview of how each word relates to our study of scripture, to help the believer as they study these words in light of this view of their "Dispensational Stewardship", also using the Websters 1828 definitions, and example scriptures.
