Atlas goes fully electric

Boston Dynamics is rolling out a fully electric version of Atlas, retiring the hydraulic Atlas model after nearly 11 years. The redesigned Atlas features a rounded head with a distinctive “ring light” and upgraded sensors that enable it to perform various tasks using machine learning. With rotating body parts, the new Atlas has an expanded range of motion compared to previous versions. Additionally, it is expected to feature new grippers, enabling diverse applications. Atlas is expected to begin testing in a real-world setting at one of Hyundai’s automotive manufacturing facilities. Learn more at bostondynamics.com
