Paul Before Agrippa
Our Bible study covers Acts 26:1-32 KJV which recounts the Apostle Paul’s defense before King Agrippa. Paul begins by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to present his case to someone familiar with Jewish customs. He recounts his early life as a Pharisee, his zealous persecution of Christians, and his dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus, where Jesus appeared to him and called him to preach to both Jews and Gentiles. Paul emphasizes that his teachings align with the prophecies of Moses and the prophets, affirming the resurrection of Christ as central to his message. Festus, the Roman governor, accuses Paul of being mad, but Paul insists his words are truthful. Agrippa acknowledges being moved by Paul’s testimony but stops short of conversion. The chapter concludes with Agrippa and Festus agreeing that Paul has done nothing deserving death or imprisonment but could have been freed if he had not appealed to Caesar.
