Is blaming someone truly helping us to solve a problem? - No Blame Game, Follow the Science
In this conversation with Professor Michaéla Schippers, we explore the psychological impact of blame. What does blaming someone give us? What happens to the person being blamed? Does blame bring us closer to a solution for the problem at hand?
Perhaps there’s a better path forward—reconciliation.
Reconciliation shifts the focus from assigning blame to rebuilding trust, understanding, and finding common ground. Blame often shuts doors to dialogue and potential solutions, while reconciliation opens them. If we want to solve problems and create lasting change, we must focus on keeping the dialogue open. Only through reconciliation can we pave the way to constructive outcomes and a better future.
