1978: Effectively atmospheric and grim episode focuses on the infamous series of murders in the Whitechapel section of London, England in 1888, where at least five women were brutally murdered with a knife by a mysterious assailant who was never arrested, though there were many theories as to his identity, and reasons for committing such a group of bloody killings. Could the killer have been a doctor? politician? royalty? or someone else altogether? We may never know for certain... Nicely eerie direction and music, with interesting interviews from both historical and crime scholars combine to make this a most memorable episode indeed.
