Gladiator 2 Cinematographer SLAMS Ridley Scott For Being LAZY!

Gladiator 2 is firmly tracking behind Wicked and Moana 2 for Thanksgiving Weekend at the Box Office. Word of mouth has been mixed at best for the sequel no one wanted and now the cast and crew are beginning to say why it was such a forgettable affair.

John Mathieson, Cinematographer for Gladiator 2 and primary DP for Ridley Scott for the past 24 years has come out to clarify what has seemingly changed in the legendary director in recent years. He is cutting corners, getting lazy and less engaged in the process, according to Mathieson. Instead of planning a shot, Scott will have 8-11 cameras rolling and fix whatever needs fixing in post with CGI. It's a scathing interview that paints a clear picture as to why this and so many of Ridley's other films are such a step down from his earlier work.
