During combat alert duty, Airborne Troops' mobile air defence units shot down enemy reconnaissance and attack fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, and FPV drones that approached Russian forward positions in the air.

After identifing the air target, ground and air defence units on a UAZ Patriot motor vehicle with an installed 7.62-mm coaxial machine gun opened targeted fire.
