Ontario Town Fined for Refusing Pride Month Recognition

The small town of Emo, Ontario, has been ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal
after it declined a request to celebrate Pride Month and raise the L G B T Q + rainbow flag
at its municipal building.
The tribunal ruled that the town’s refusal violated the Ontario Human Rights Code,
