24LHDVD11-04 Deborah Vails - Defeating the Spirit of Pride

Pride is a stronghold that can take hold of a person’s life. Sometimes we put ourselves on an altar, which then becomes idolatry and that is not acceptable. A number of Scriptural symptoms of pride are presented. They all defy God and fight the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God resists the family of pride. It will keep you from reaching your potential in God. It will cause you to “work things out on your own.” We set ourselves up for failure and burnout when pride is at work. When we see these symptoms taking over our lives we must immediately take the necessary measures to get them out before we are stuck in them. God will help us when we approach Him with a spirit of humility. Deliverance prayers conclude this message.
