Escape Plots of the Romanovs

The last Russian imperial family, the #Romanovs , did try to escape their cruel #Bolshevik captors in #Ekaterinburg . From monarchist groups to anarchists to former lovers to royal relatives like #KaiserWilhelmII to #KingGeorgeV , many were very concerned with the #Romanovfamily in 1917 and 1918. Sadly, no escape plots succeeded, despite involvement by #HudsonsBayCompany and #MI6 . The Romanovs were shot in #IpatievHouse on July 17th 1918 and their bodies were stomped on, covered with sulfuric acid and dumped in a rural forest.
