TONGUES: Unlock the Power of Drinking in the Spirit: A Deep Dive into Joy, Peace, & Strength

🌟 Welcome to today's Jumpstart! 🌟 We're diving deep into the importance of eating and drinking spiritually—a balanced approach to your walk with God. Reading, studying, and meditating on the Bible is spiritual eating, but we can't stop there! We need to drink in the Spirit through prayer, singing in the Spirit, and speaking in tongues.

💧 John 7:37-39 reminds us that Jesus offers rivers of living water to those who come to Him thirsty. This ties back to the Feast of Tabernacles, where they celebrated by drawing water with joy from the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3). Today, we’ll explore how the Holy Spirit refreshes and fills us, as described in 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Ephesians 5:18—"Be filled with the Spirit!"

🔥 On the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were so filled they were accused of being drunk. But this was the new wine of the Spirit (Acts 2:11-12)! Praying in tongues is a vital part of experiencing this fullness. God is calling us to deeper encounters in prayer, both privately and corporately. Let's tap into greater levels of His joy and strength through the Spirit.

💪 Nehemiah 8:10 says, "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Joy is not just emotional; it’s spiritual, flowing from God Himself. The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). Don't let life's challenges steal your peace—guard it and stay filled with His joy!

👉 We also discuss the dangers of codependency. Love others, help where you can, but don't let their struggles rob you of your peace. Jesus taught people to take their own steps of faith—like the man with the withered hand (Mark 3). Stay anchored in God’s peace and avoid enabling others’ dysfunction.
