Seedlings - “Just Chillin”

Quick video showing the endurance of some of these seedlings that are coming up in the understory now that the bush-honeysuckle has been removed. These guys will try to hang on as long as possible even in the freezing weather in order to take advantage of the adult trees having no leaves for the winter. Right now they are storing energy for next spring in hopes to shoot up quickly and gain height enough to outcompete their competitors. Just goes to show that even in the winter there can be activity.
