WATCH: 'DO YOU TRUST HIM?' — Liberals, Tories take turns leader-bashing

Tory MP Tom Kmiec on Tuesday during Question Period repeated the Conservatives' demand for a plan on border security before President-elect Donald Trump's January 20 inauguration, sparking a back-and-forth sparring match over which party's leader is more trustworthy.

Immigration Minister Marc Miller responded by asking the House if they "trust the guy" who negotiated NAFTA and "secured the border during the pandemic of the century," or do they "trust the guy" who spent 20 years making up interesting rhymes" and securing his "bloated pension."

Kmiec replied: "Do you trust the guy who has over a half million people illegally in Canada and a two million-person backlog?"
