Speeding Up Counting in Arizona, The Slowest Swing State

Arizona's counting process is slow for five main reasons. Our Republican-controlled legislature introduced a number of bills which would have sped up results by addressing some of these reasons, but they were rejected by either Governor Hobbs or by the voting public.

Senator Frank Carroll, Senator John Kavanagh, and Represenative Cory McGarr have bills from 2023 covered in this video. I also cover Senator JD Mesnard's upcoming SB1001, dubbed the "Make Arizona Elections Faster" bill by Garrett Archer on X. This bill would make Arizona elections more similar to Florida and would address some of the five reasons presented in this video.

The bill will be heard at a committee in January or February and I will keep you updated on the progress of the bill!
