Hunters helped feed people across Michigan by donating their deer harvest.

During firearm deer season, Jay’s Sporting Goods in Clare hosted several deer
donation events for the Michigan Department of Natural Resource's Sportsmen Against Hunger program sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan. Seventy deer were donated which helped provide more than 11,000 meals. All deer donated during the event was processed and distributed to Michigan’s seven regional food banks free of charge.
