Rattlesnakes are medium-sized venomous snakes. The largest species are the diamond rattlesnake and the Texas rattlesnake, which can grow up to two metres long. The characteristic of all species is a tail rattle. There are 29 species of rattlesnake. These beautiful animals have a haemotoxic venom that destroys tissue.
